About this release
Nonna Fab's debut album brings deep house, broken beat, jazz and ambient music together on his Movement and Soul imprint. Material developed through live performance sits alongside studio work, with driven synthesisers, saturated textures and percussion shaping the opening stretch. An extended organ solo gives When The Light Gets In its soulful focus, before the second side moves through dubbed guitar and warmer, more spacious rhythms. Vocalist and spoken-word artist Veronica Melkonian appears on Ebb & Flow, where balafon, piano and deep bass meet broken beats. Chasing Fog closes with an ambient passage that shifts the album away from the dancefloor.
