About this release
Jon Tye records as Ocean Moon on Shimmering States, a three-part release for Pinchy & Friends. The LO Recordings founder's work with MLO, Seahawks, Cherry Garcia and Brain Machine provides the background to an electronic set inspired by 4 Hero, Terre Thaemlitz and Alice Coltrane. The sixteen-minute title track occupies side A, giving its ideas room to unfold, while 'Hidden Treasures' and 'Reflecting Light' share side B. Across the programme, Tye explores the meeting point between ambient electronics and downtempo listening. This edition is pressed on 180g blue 12-inch vinyl with a picture sleeve and obi strip.
