About this release
New Dawn reissues Odissey’s Pa Flipé, a 1988 zouk album by brothers Pascal and Richie Adams. Born in Paris to parents from Guadeloupe and Martinique, the two brought singing, guitar and DJ experience into their work with producer Jolème Narayadou. Their collaboration resulted in six songs, with Marie-Helene becoming a notable success in Martinique. The title is a Creole expression meaning ‘don’t be afraid’, and the programme also includes Viré Love and Songe (Ethiopie-Apartheid). This vinyl edition keeps the complete album together, offering a route into the brothers’ contribution to the French Caribbean recording scene.
