About this release
Viagem brings pianist and arranger Osmar Milito's Brazilian jazz approach to an eleven-song programme of bossa nova, MPB and popular song. Acoustic and electric piano lead the arrangements, with Paulo Moura as musical director and a rhythm section that includes Tião Barros, Luiz Claudio, Roberto Ronnie and Chico Batera. Up Up And Away opens the album before versions of Bonita, Sangue Latino and Que Maravilha sit alongside Milito's own Planalto Geral. The title track and Eu Só Quero Um Xodô add further shades of Brazilian songwriting. This Elemental Music 180g vinyl reissue preserves the original LP's five-track A-side and six-track B-side.
