About this release
Late Night Load Out is Papa Romeo’s debut album, bringing together music developed during the Dublin five-piece’s first two years of rehearsals and shows around Ireland. The eight tracks move between spacious indie rock, ambient jazz passages and a rougher post-punk edge. World Of Paint opens the first side, while Chicken Town and Night Flight lead into Deep Purp and Midnight Tristesse on the reverse. The title comes from the band’s name for carrying equipment out of venues after a show, capturing the work that follows the performance. Land Before Time presents the album on a single LP in a picture sleeve.
