About this release
Peggy Gou launched Gudu Records with Moment, a two-track EP that connects her Korean heritage with the house and disco records that shaped her listening. Starry Night places Korean and English vocals over piano chords, percussion and subtle acid lines, allowing Gou’s singing to guide the arrangement. Han Pan takes a different rhythmic route on the reverse, built around a tuned pan-drum and a contrasting vocal performance. Together, the songs develop the blend of melody, language and club rhythm heard in her earlier work. The twelve-inch keeps both recordings together as the first release on her own label.
