About this release
Perro Bueno’s sixth volume pairs horn-led jazz-funk with a contrasting disco rework on the reverse. BLRF gives the first side a raw, swinging feel, with brass at the centre of the groove. NFSA draws on an African disco recording, reshaping the rhythm for a contemporary dancefloor. The two edits connect different source traditions through their emphasis on movement and instrumental detail. Each track occupies its own side of the green seven-inch, keeping the pairing focused on the contrast between the jazz-funk drive of the opener and the reverse’s disco pulse.
