About this release
Piero Umiliani’s score for La Ragazza Fuoristrada gives Zeudi Araya’s film a melancholy musical setting, returning to a small group of themes in contrasting arrangements. Volto Di Donna appears through Hammond organ, Moog, strings and piano treatments, while Nostalgia moves between vocal and instrumental forms. Le Ore Che Contano, Il Tuo Volto and Cantata Per Maryam add further shades to a soundtrack that connects lyrical writing with jazz-inflected rhythm and organ-led colour. La Rinuncia brings a firmer rock edge to the sequence. Schema’s vinyl edition presents twelve selections, drawing together the score’s recurring melodies and changing instrumental textures.
