About this release
Space Rapture is Potter & Tillman's 1982 album, originally released through their Poet label. Produced and composed by David Eric Tillman, the recording connects soul vocals with jazz-funk and fusion arrangements, using piano, Rhodes and synthesizers alongside a tight rhythm section. Andrew Scott Potter contributes the percussion-led side of the partnership, while Carmen Lundy performs her composition Time Is Love. The eight-track programme includes Love Is How, New Anniversary Waltz and It Must Be E.S.P., moving between vocal songs and instrumental passages. High Jazz Records' vinyl reissue presents the complete album rather than a selection of its tracks.
