About this release
Purple Disco Machine's debut album Soulmatic brings together nu-disco, funk and house across thirteen tracks. Body Funk and Devil In Me sit alongside collaborations with CeeLo Green, Faithless and Boris D'Lugosch, with Karen Harding, Lorenz Rhode, Hannah Williams and Kool Keith among the featured voices and musicians. The album moves between concise vocal songs and longer club arrangements, including the title track and Mistress, linking its synth-led production with disco basslines and soul vocals. This Sweat It Out reissue spreads the full album across two records, pressed with a gold and purple splash effect.
