About this release
Kid A moves Radiohead's songwriting into electronic, ambient and experimental settings. Produced with Nigel Godrich and first released in 2000, the album connects the repeating keyboard figure of Everything In Its Right Place with pieces such as The National Anthem, How To Disappear Completely and Treefingers. Optimistic and In Limbo lead into the final side's Idioteque, Morning Bell and Motion Picture Soundtrack. This XL Recordings double LP presents the original album programme across four sides. The changing instrumentation and arrangements create a continuous listening sequence while preserving each song's distinct shape.
