About this release
Congratulations introduces Raji Rags' production work through five tracks that connect programmed rhythms with live strings and double bass. Raven Bush and Peter Bennie of Speakers Corner Quartet contribute to the record, while Taiwanese producer Sonia Calico collaborates on Bullet Train. The opening Obligatory Ambient Intro gives way to Kiran's Bike and Making Love To A Ghost before the EP returns to a beatless setting on Enchanté. Released through OTIH Records, the music draws on ambient, breakbeat and hip-hop approaches without settling into one rhythm throughout. This 12-inch edition features a hand screen-printed clear outer sleeve designed by GiveUpArt.
