About this release
Get Involved / Vivrant Thing pairs two recordings associated with Q-Tip on a 45 Jams seven-inch. Raphael Saadiq and Q-Tip share the first side with Get Involved, connecting soulful singing and rap over a warm, sample-based groove. Q-Tip's Vivrant Thing takes the reverse, placing his flow over a more stripped-back rhythmic backing. The pairing moves between R&B and hip-hop, bringing the two vocal approaches together in a compact single format. Issued as JAM4501, the record presents one track on each side.
Format: 7" vinyl single
