About this release
Rare Pleasure’s Let Me Down Easy bridges northern and modern soul, with Sandy Barber’s lead vocal at the centre of the recording. Its later use in David Morales’ Needin’ U introduced the song’s musical elements to another generation of dancefloors, but the original stands as a record in its own right. South Street Disco’s official seven-inch reissue presents both the standard and long versions, allowing the groove more room on the reverse. This red-vinyl edition keeps the two mixes together under catalogue number SSD7001PR, making the original recording accessible beyond scarce earlier copies.
