About this release
Vaughan Mason’s Raze project pairs Keith Thompson’s vocal with a spare, hypnotic groove on ‘Break 4 Love’, originally released in 1988. This Armada Music and Champion twelve-inch brings the original extended mix together with three later reinterpretations. Ilija Rudman keeps the vocal’s intimate character at the centre of his version, while Michael Gray adds percussion and atmospheric effects around the familiar rhythm. Ridney & Inner Spirit take a rolling, spacious approach on their extended remix. The four versions give the song different settings while retaining the vocal and understated dancefloor pull that connect the release.
