About this release
Reggie Dokes returns to We Play House Recordings with a four-track EP drawing on his African heritage and the influence of Fela Kuti. The Detroit producer connects those rhythmic ideas with his established approach to house music, making Salute To Fela an explicit part of the programme. No Worries and Symbiotic share the first side, with Salute To Fela and the title track on the reverse. The release continues Dokes’ longstanding relationship with the Belgian label, presenting a focused selection that brings his Detroit background and Afrocentric musical interests into the same record.
