Richard Sen - Space 1999 / Bergen Light Rail

Richard Sen makes his Phantasy Sound debut with two tracks connecting different corners of his musical history. Space 1999 looks back to Space at London's Bar Rhumba, the midweek party where Luke Solomon and Kenny Hawes helped shape his taste for deep house. A rolling bassline and swinging drums carry a slowly unfolding melody across the extended A-side.

Bergen Light Rail heads towards Norwegian space disco, taking its name from the tram journey to Bergen's Club Ostre. Toms, bright synths and winding arpeggios give the flip a different kind of momentum. Sen's own hand-painted artwork completes the sleeve.
