About this release
Risk Assessment continues his Stereo:type series with four tracks linking disco arrangements and firm house rhythms. Love Music Part 1 opens with a repeating piano figure and vocal-led textures over a substantial groove. Son Of A Gun brings a more urgent disco-house feel, before Want U Back’s Kitchen Disco Mix shifts into shuffling drums, clavinet and female vocal phrases. Welcome closes in a remix that carries seventies soul influences into a club arrangement. Across the EP, Glyne Braithwaite keeps the melodic detail of his source material in focus while adjusting the rhythm and structure for extended dancefloor movement.
