About this release
Robert French and Anthony Johnson share this reggae reissue from Roots, with each singer taking one side. Johnson’s programme pairs Sitting In The Park, Know Yourself Mankind and I Want To Hold You with their accompanying dubs. French’s side follows the same arrangement, moving through Stop Spread Rumour, Number One Lover and No War, each followed by a dub version. The twelve-track sequence keeps the vocal and dub treatments together, making this a useful split album for listeners who want both approaches on one record.
