Robert Hood - Nothing Stops Detroit

Nothing Stops Detroit marked Robert Hood's first original EP for Rekids, following his remixes of Radio Slave as both Robert Hood and Floorplan. The four-track set centres on precise machine rhythms, with the title track combining firm kicks, deep stabs and stuttering effects. 7 Mile Dog brings grainy synthesizers and pads into the mix, while Ignite A War follows a winding bassline through rattling textures and an oscillating lead. The Cure closes with distorted percussion and rumbling low end. Across both sides, Hood keeps the arrangements focused on the interaction between drums, repetition and shifting electronic detail.
