About this release
Róisín Murphy’s sixth solo album was produced with DJ Koze, bringing her vocal writing into arrangements that move between disco, soul, pop and house. Hit Parade gives the collaboration room to shift pace, from CooCool and The Universe to the longer club-oriented selections You Knew and Can’t Replicate. Murphy’s voice connects the changes of mood across the record, with shorter passages such as Crazy Ants Reprise contributing to its sequence. Ninja Tune’s standard ZEN290 edition presents twelve tracks across two black 140g vinyl records, housed in a gloss-laminated gatefold sleeve with a lyric booklet and download code.
