About this release
Geneva duo Roshâni follows the Alma De Baile EP with Planet R, its debut album on Stone Pixels. Sung in Farsi, Spanish, French and English, the record connects synthesizers and organic grooves across disco, alternative pop and experimental electronic music.
The eleven-track sequence runs from ‘Shak’ through ‘Laisser Aller’, with Moictani appearing on ‘Picante’ and SorryBahar on ‘Berim’. Roxane Dumont’s guitar and vocals meet Inès Mouzoune’s synthesiser and bass parts, with Yavor Lilov contributing drums, recording and mixing. Kelly Himbert mastered the album. Distorted guitars, raspy voices and carefully shaped synth textures support songs about doubt, friendship and self-expression, balancing dance rhythms with more introspective passages.
