About this release
The second Virgin Ubiquity collection continues BBE's exploration of Roy Ayers's stored recordings from 1976 to 1981. Peter Adarkwah and Ayers selected material from unused sessions, with John Hopkins and Jamey Staub mixing the recovered multitracks. The thirteen-piece programme includes Holiday, I Am Your Mind (Part 2), Liquid Love and Funk In The Hole, alongside Tarzan and a demo of Sunshine. Moving through jazz-funk, soul and disco, the collection adds another view of Ayers's work during this period. This triple-vinyl edition presents the complete programme across six sides, with a gatefold sleeve and sleeve notes by Sean P.
