About this release
Pat and Andrew Santamaria bring their Latin American musical background and experience in Sydney's club scene together on We Got Latin Soul. The brothers, previously the rhythm section of Lost Valentinos and co-founders of Motorik!, rework material associated with Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto, Pucho & The Latin Soul Brothers and Joe Bataan. Across four SB edits, percussion and Latin soul arrangements meet Balearic textures and chugging acid house elements. Young Gifted And Brown and Psychedelic Pucho take the A-side, with Acid Soul and Together on the reverse, making this Sosilly release a meeting of the brothers' musical roots and electronic production.
