About this release
We Were All Kids Once marks Santos’ first EP for Rekids, following his work on Let Me Understand Records. The four tracks move between house and techno, opening with the rugged, Relief-influenced One Day before Don’t Touch brings percussion to the foreground. Rollercoster continues that rhythm-led direction on the reverse, while Someone slows into a more cushioned, beatdown-influenced deep-house setting. The contrast gives the 12-inch a range of moods without leaving its club focus behind. Released on Matt Edwards’ label, the EP brings Santos’ track-based production and more relaxed grooves into a concise two-sided programme.
