Scott Grooves - White Label Of The Month #1

Media Condition: Very Good +

Sleeve Condition: Very Good +

In the week where Soma remind us of the potency of Scott Groove's 98 bump "Mothership Connection" the Detroit fixture launches his own new imprint in fine if somewhat sparse style. There's little more to the first Scott Grooves White Label Of The Month than the music itself - with both tracks presented here untitled - leaving the arrangements to speak for themselves. The A Side presents a whirlish take on Motor City Soul futurism, all bottom heavy bass and stripped down percussion leaving the utopian synth patterns to provide the personality, which they do in style. Head to the B Side for the real basement jam business as gloopy bass swirls drags the drum machine workout down to your ankles to let the acid tinged lead tease your senses in. The unexpected explosion of sonic colour will truly delight.
