About this release
Serenda’s Second Skin explores the tension between organic rhythm and more fractured club production. The London producer’s second EP moves through house, bass and techno, using distorted percussion and contrasting textures to connect its four tracks. Angry Sol and Hive Mind introduce the record’s rhythmic focus. Part Seven begins with soft synthesiser pads before moving into deconstructed sound design, while Ms. Nightstress brings saxophone and R&B vocals into a heavier techno setting. The material reflects Serenda’s interest in identity and transformation without settling into a single genre. This Rhythm Section International release presents the complete four-track EP on vinyl.
