About this release
Shanti Celeste places her vocals at the centre of Romance, a nine-track album exploring love, friendship and self-discovery. Released through Method 808 and Peach Discs, it brings a pop-facing intimacy to her house and techno background. Batu co-produces ‘Light as a Feather’, ‘Note to Self’ and ‘Softie’, while Miriam Adefris contributes harp to ‘Butterflies’ and ‘Medicine’. ‘Unwind’ features Hal Sutherland’s piano, with lyrics co-written by Shivum Sharma. Made between Bristol and London, the record moves between reflective songs and dancefloor rhythms, with ‘Thinking About You’ drawing on memories of a late friend.
