About this release
Brussels producer ShunGu brings a wide circle of collaborators into Faith In The Unknown, connecting jazz-inflected samples, MPC grooves and carefully layered textures. Pink Siifu, Liv.e, Fly Anakin, Goya Gumbani, Navy Blue, Fatima and Maxo are among the voices shaping the album's fourteen short pieces. The record moves between reflection, intimacy and defiance, with ShunGu's production holding the different performances together. Rather than following one vocalist throughout, the sequence makes room for contrasting perspectives and exchanges. Released through Lex, the album continues the collaborative approach developed through his beat tapes and earlier projects.
Format: LP, Black Vinyl, 180g
