About this release
Siedah Garrett's Do You Want It Right Now pairs the Original Extended Mix with three remixes on this Tinted Records twelve-inch. First featured in the 1985 film Fast Forward, the song connects Garrett's vocal with the electronic dance sound of the period. Dr Packer's Back To The 90's Remix brings a soul-inflected house and nu-disco approach, while Jolyon Petch's Elektrik Disko Remix emphasises guitar and bass. BluePrint's version moves towards progressive house and melodic techno. The record places the two disco-led remixes on the first side, with the original and BluePrint's treatment sharing the reverse.
