About this release
Tunnelrytmer is the debut album from Sløy Gange, a Norwegian group directed by Floppy Mac Space. Their instrumental grooves take inspiration from the SP-1200 drum machine, combining tight drumming and simple basslines with retro synths and dub effects. The music moves between psychedelic funk and instrumental hip-hop, keeping the rhythm deep and unhurried while the textures stay rough-edged. Rather than copying a programmed beat, the trio approach those influences through a band setting, allowing the drums and bass to hold the arrangements together. Lyskestrekk Records presents the album's twelve-track programme across two sides of vinyl.
