Almost two years after his last EP on Soul Quest Records - an imprint fast becoming a must-check for fans of soulful house and soul-soaked deep house classiness - East London native SLXM Sol returns to the label with a fantastic four-track missive. The headline attraction is undoubtedly 'Simple Love', a gorgeous fusion of warming, lightly breezy deep house, organ-rich New Jersey garage-house and the effortlessly soulful vocals of Laville and BB James.

The mighty Kai Alce remixes, combining a warm and rolling deep house groove with fluid piano solos and mazy trumpet solos. Elsewhere, 'Waiting 4 U (vinyl edit)' is an ultra-deep, smoky and soulful broken beat roller, while 'Smiles' is a dustier and more KV5 style slab of jazzy bruk-up haziness.
