About this release
EFUNK Volume V brings together artists connected to Soul Clap’s House Of EFUNK parties. Soul Clap and Baronhawk Poitier open with Set The Scene, combining spoken vocals, vocoder and a Moog line, before Hercules & Love Affair follows with the acid-edged Stay Ready. Kai Alcé’s Boogie features additional keys from Byron The Aquarius, while JMT contributes Black Magic Touch. Lauren Flax closes the programme with Revolution, featuring Liz Wight’s vocals. Mastered by Caserta, the compilation moves between funk-informed house, disco touches and tougher electronic grooves, reflecting the range of producers gathered around the House Of EFUNK series.
