About this release
Speedy J's debut Ginger belongs to Warp's Artificial Intelligence series, bringing Jochem Paap's techno production into an album built for sustained listening. Melodic synthesis and ambient textures meet drum-machine grooves, with short Fill interludes connecting longer pieces. Beam Me Up!, Basic Design and Flashback show the record's balance of movement and detail, while Pepper and De-Orbit complete the final side. This remastered Warp reissue uses the ten-track vinyl programme, rather than the expanded digital sequence. The black double LP comes in a wide-spine outer sleeve with polylined inner sleeves, retaining the album's original visual design.
