Emil Zoghby and John Galanakis brought their Starlight production partnership to album length in 1983, after a run of South African disco singles. The six-track set combines their own material with 'Picnic', followed by the related 'Picnicing', where synth accents take the place of the earlier track’s saxophone. 'Jah Jah Love' stretches beyond eight minutes, while 'Let’s Go Dancing (Boogie Boogie)' and 'Keep On Moving' connect disco to Italo and emerging machine-led dance music. Afrosynth’s reissue is remastered from the original tapes, restoring the album’s balance of electronic production and human performance.
