About this release
Scottish techno and house veteran Stephen Brown returns with The Safari EP on Stepback Records. Drawing on a catalogue that includes Transmat, Djax-Up-Beats, Cocoon and Subject Detroit, Brown delivers three direct but characterful underground cuts.
Test 1 leads with an instantly recognisable vocal hook and peak-time force, while Move It channels raw Chicago-house swing through off-kilter pads, detuned hats and a heavy kick. Tell Him completes the EP with a deeper, more subtle groove.
