About this release
Isle Of Jura brings together Steve Jones' I Need You (By My Side) and Fat Boys U.K.'s The Challenge, originally released in 1984. Producer Lindel Lewis built the tracks around Linn drum programming and Roland synthesisers, connecting British funk with US boogie, disco and dub influences. The A-side includes the vocal original and a previously unreleased dub treatment, while The Challenge takes the reverse. Licensed from Lewis, the reissue presents all three recordings on a 140g twelve-inch. It comes in a blue disco sleeve with a sticker and label design by Bradley Pinkerton.
Format: 140g 12-inch vinyl; blue disco sleeve and sticker
