About this release
Fulfillingness’ First Finale is Stevie Wonder’s 1974 album, placing reflective songwriting alongside the rhythmic confidence of Boogie On Reggae Woman and You Haven’t Done Nothin’. Smile Please opens the ten-song sequence, with Heaven Is 10 Zillion Light Years Away, Too Shy To Say and Creepin’ revealing different shades of its quieter side. The second half moves from sharper commentary towards They Won’t Go When I Go and Bird Of Beauty, ending with Please Don’t Go. Wonder’s voice and keyboards link the contrasting moods without losing the album’s sense of intimacy. This reissue presents the complete programme on 180g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
