About this release
Allchival collects six recordings by Stuart Bingham’s Sunshine, tracing an Irish group’s movement through disco, boogie and more experimental studio work. Paul Curtis produced ‘Boogie On Up’ and ‘Don’t Stop Me’, while ‘If This Is Free (I Don’t Wanna Be)’ captures the rougher edge of an independent recording. Rosey’s vocals and Bingham’s production shape the title track, with its Nile Rodgers-inspired arrangements and Euro-disco character. ‘The Boogie Bug’ brings rap into the group’s rhythmic experiments, and ‘Oh Gee, I Got U B.B’ draws on dub-mix ideas. The vinyl edition comes in a tip-on sleeve with an insert.
