About this release
TAMTAM’s Where They Dwell draws inspiration from the idea of inhabitants: plants, animals, objects and imagined creatures sharing a world beyond everyday understanding. The Tokyo quartet brings that theme into ten tracks combining dreamlike pop with jazz, soul and electronic textures. Kuro’s vocals and synthesisers sit alongside Affee Takahashi’s drums and programming, Haluna Ishigaki’s bass and Yuthke’s guitar. Magic Hour introduces the album, with Dragon In The Lagoon and Just Being Alone on the first side; The Fusang Tree and Summoning Rain continue the sequence before Kitakami and its outro close it. This PPU edition presents the full album on vinyl LP.
