About this release
The CJP Band follow their Supa Jams debut with a pairing of disco, jazz funk and soul. On the A-side, the band revisit Aquarian Dream’s 1978 song You’re A Star, bringing their instrumental approach to the original’s dancefloor arrangement. The flip introduces an original composition, World Gone Crazy, with Joe Bell on vocals. Its string-led setting and reflection on a troubled world shift the mood away from the celebratory opener. Across the two sides, the band connect an established disco song with their own songwriting and a more contemplative vocal performance.
