About this release
The Cool-Notes' I Forgot How To Love You returns on Celestial Echo, paired with Why Can't We Be Friends on a 12-inch single. The recording comes from the South London band's early period, before their later chart successes, and places warm bass, a tightly played rhythm section and layered vocal harmonies at the centre. Its blend of soul and Britfunk connects the song's melodic character with a steady dancefloor groove. This reissue presents the two recordings on separate sides, housed in a company sleeve, bringing an earlier part of the group's catalogue back into circulation.
