About this release
Danny Krivit brings two disco recordings into his Edits By Mr K series on Most Excellent Unlimited. Body To Body comes from Shades Of Love, the vocal trio led by Meli'sa Morgan, and draws on the version associated with Larry Levan's Paradise Garage sets. Its midtempo rhythm, bassline and handclaps give Morgan's voice a clear frame. Crown Heights Affair's Dreaming A Dream takes the reverse, extending an instrumental passage that became a single in its own right. Krivit gives the keys, brass and persistent rhythm more room, pairing vocal boogie with a more exuberant instrumental disco arrangement.
