About this release
The King James Version's He's Forever (Amen) pairs gospel expression with a raw soul sound on this Soul Kitchen seven-inch. Originally released in 1971, the title song moves from a quieter opening into a dramatic vocal performance. He's Coming brings a more energetic gospel-funk approach to the reverse, with a spirit that recalls the drive of Sam & Dave. The official remastered reissue keeps the original two-song pairing together and uses replica artwork. This black vinyl edition has a large centre hole and a picture sleeve, presenting both sides of the group's early single.
