About this release
Mr K applies his characteristically precise edit touch to two modern soul favourites, extending the strongest musical passages while keeping the original performances front and centre.
Golden folds Jill Scott's vocal into the Blackbeard remix framework with strings and percussion given extra room, while Umi Says opens out Mos Def's original around its bassline and Weldon Irvine-flavoured keys.
