About this release
Andy Compton and Shamrock bring soul, jazz and funk together on The Rhythm Of Nature, developed during sessions at PENG Studio in Devon in summer 2025. The pair play most of the instruments, joined by Pete Morris on Fender Rhodes and keys, Bongani Sessionist on percussion, Kafele Bandele on trumpet and Charlie Hearnshaw on saxophone. Nekoye Ommeh contributes vocals to Bunny Chow and Roga Mziki, while Linda Tokhwe adds a keys solo to the latter. Following their Soul & Spirit collaboration, the album combines sung pieces with instrumental passages, with nine selections arranged for this single-LP edition.
