About this release
Gary Irwin’s The Vendetta Suite pairs two contrasting tracks for Hell Yeah Recordings. ‘The Jam Answer’ works through acid house and disco influences, with bending acid lines, dusty analogue drums, vocal samples and chord stabs giving way to a melodic synthesiser lead. ‘Island Hill Microdot’ takes a gentler route, connecting dreamy Chicago house with IDM details and a warm Balearic atmosphere. Light percussion carries its more immersive arrangement, offering a spacious counterpart to the first side. Written and produced by Irwin, the two-track 12-inch was mastered and cut by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering in Berlin.
