About this release
Tiger Stripes' I Heard It Through The Bassline marks the Stockholm producer's debut on Rekids, pairing two house tracks built around bass and groove. The title cut sets gospel vocals against tight drums and a prominent bassline, while Everybody's Doing It takes a lower-slung route suited to later hours. The two sides draw on a musical background that includes collaborations with Kerri Chandler and Jerome Sydenham, alongside releases for Hot Creations, Get Physical and Ibadan. As founder of Strange Idols, Tiger Stripes brings that experience to a focused two-track release for Matt Edwards' label.
