Toco - Instalação do Samba

Toco’s Instalação do Samba reaches vinyl for the first time, more than two decades after its original 2004 CD release. Working with producer Stefano “S-Tone Inc.” Tirone, the Brazilian singer built an album around samba and bossa nova, bringing in jazz, soul and understated electronic touches without losing the songs’ natural ease. The arrangements leave space for his voice while giving the rhythms a contemporary shape.

This eight-track Schema LP includes the title song, Sambambiente, Rio de Janeiro and the extended Drum & Bossa version of Instalação do Samba. It also adds Qui C’Est Celui-Là, previously included on the French CD edition. SCLP374 brings this early Toco album to a new format while retaining its blend of Brazilian songwriting and Italian production.
