About this release
Toddsonic33 brings a raw, machine-led house sound to Rush Hour’s Store Jams series. Mark Grusane joins the title track, and Darryn Jones features on Look What You Made Me Do, placing two fellow Chicago collaborators within the record’s drum-focused approach. Out Of Phase and Weirdo complete the EP, with the four tracks balancing electronic percussion and bass with a soulful feel. Rooted in the city’s jacking tradition, the release emphasises the physical interaction of rhythm and low end rather than polished ornament, carrying Toddsonic33’s production through a compact set of contrasting club pieces.
